The Federal Emergency Management Agency is starting to enforce a rule that prohibits oceanfront hotels from enclosing their pools with glass walls. The move is forcing hotels in Myrtle Beach, S.C., to change their enclosures or run the risk of not being in compliance with the rule. "We've sent letters to all the hotels that are affected, saying November 1st is when the rule takes effect. You will not put up your temporary pool enclosures that violate FEMA's regulations then or expect the consequences," said Mark Kruea, a spokesman for the city.
