U.N. reports: Hurdles remain in achieving female equality

Two new United Nations agency reports show that little progress is being made on the global gender equality front with women under-represented in both the private and government sectors. Just as notable is the fact that violence against females is a "universal phenomenon," according to The World's Women 2010 report, which is published every five years.
