Blogger William Swelbar says the Air Transport Association is on the right path in opposing additional airline taxes. "The ATA estimates the proposed taxes would lead to a 2.3% reduction in capacity at a possible cost of 9,700 airline and related jobs -- and that's just the impact from a tax increase," writes Swelbar.
