Diabetes patients should receive HBV vaccine, CDC says

Patients ages 23 to 59 with diabetes were more than twice as likely to contract hepatitis B, while those 22 years and younger were 1.9 times more likely to be infected with the disease than those without diabetes, according to a CDC review of hepatitis cases. Following the results, the agency recommended diabetes patients receive immunization with the hepatitis B vaccine.
