North Anna reactors are prepared to restart, operator says

Dominion Virginia Power's North Anna nuclear plant in Virginia, which has been shut down since the August earthquake, is ready to resume operations, the utility said. Company officials "have gone over North Anna very systematically -- every safety system, structure and component -- and found only cosmetic damage," said David Heacock, Dominion Nuclear's president and chief nuclear officer. The plant's design parameters boosted its capability to handle the quake, he said.
