Premier supports final ACO rule, but has concerns

Premier health care alliance has expressed support for key provisions of the final rule governing accountable care organizations, including the removal of the requirement that 50% of participating providers must achieve meaningful use of EHRs. The group, however, raised concerns about the CMS' decision to allow beneficiaries to join ACOs but opt out of data exchanges, restrict the amount of savings shared with providers by up to 60% and require timely access to claims data.
