Accor aims for up to 50 hotels in India by 2015

Accor is looking to double its hotel portfolio in India within the next two years and has added new projects in its pipeline in the northeastern region. "By the end of this year we will have 25 hotels and by next year it would be increased to 35," said Lokesh Sabarwal, Accor's vice president for development in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. "By the end of 2015 we will have 45 to 50 hotels." Two properties -- the Novotel Ahmedabad and the Novotel Pune -- are scheduled to open their doors by year's end.
