ARM licenses mobile-chip designs to IBM

ARM has licensed its Cortex-A15, Cortex-A12 and Cortex-A7 processor designs, which are mostly used in chips for smartphones and tablet computers, to IBM, which said it intends to use the technology in communications and networking systems. Big Blue also licensed ARM's Cortex-M0 processor and Mali-450 graphics processing unit.
