British charity turns to e-mentoring to bridge the IT talent gap

A British organization is recruiting members of the IT industry to provide career guidance to high-school students in an effort to help teens enter the workforce while addressing a looming shortage of skilled IT talent. The program, called Career Ready, is a project of Career Academies UK and will enable IT professionals to conduct e-mentoring by sharing their experiences with 16- to 19-year-olds and addressing questions about careers in the field.
