Ga. students gain exposure to nuclear power careers

Students from Lakeside Middle School in Waynesboro, Ga., visited Southern Co.'s Plant Vogtle Wednesday and met with energy industry professionals as part of National Nuclear Science Week. "When you get out of high school and go to college, you'll have a whole lot of things on your mind," Southern Co. spokesman Mike McCracken said to the students. "What you probably haven't thought a whole lot about is electricity or working for a power company," he added.
