Importance of rail is recognized with grant for infrastructure projects

A $192,000 grant has been awarded to the Port of Oswego Authority in New York for the construction of a rail spur and additional rail-car-storage facility as rail traffic is on an upswing. "This grant will improve existing rail infrastructure to help the port meet increased demand and create new economic opportunities for our region," Rep. Dan Maffei, D-N.Y., said.
