Sale of U.S. annuity and insurance business nets ING Groep $974M

The largest financial services company in the Netherlands, ING Groep, received $974 million from the sale of its New York-headquartered annuity and life insurance business, ING U.S. The secondary offering reduced ING Groep's ownership of the U.S. unit to about 59%, the company said. ING U.S. will be rebranded as Voya Financial.
