Study: Most advisors don't use alternative investments

Financial advisors know they need additional strategies to produce better returns, but they largely avoid alternative investments because clients find them difficult to understand, according to a study by Natixis Global Asset Management. As a result, only 25% of advisors regularly use alternative investments, such as hedge funds, private equity and commodities, the study says.
