Maryland district scraps in-house tutoring plan

Parents of students in the Prince George's County, Md., school district are scrambling for tutors, now that it appears that the district probably will land on the state watch list, making it ineligible to provide federally funded supplemental education services. Some PTAs are considering paying for in-school tutoring.
