Health officials investigate complaints on Budeprion XL

Patient reports of headaches, anxiety and other symptoms after taking Impax Laboratories' Budeprion XL, a generic version of antidepressant Wellbutrin XL, have prompted an FDA investigation into the safety of the drug. An FDA representative said the agency also is reviewing the scientific formulation of the drug following tests conducted by ConsumerLab.com that found key differences between Budeprion and Wellbutrin.
