Washington prison concept an escape from traditional design

A corrections center expansion being built in Connell, Wash., rejects the traditional notion of prison design. The Coyote Ridge Corrections Center project, being built on a $160 million design-build contract with the state by Hunt/Lydig, will feature a campus with multiple buildings and wide-open spaces.
