BlackBerry takes second place to iPhone

Apple's iPhone shipments have surpassed Research in Motion's BlackBerrys on a global scale, according to research firm Strategy Analytics, whose third-quarter report calculated 15.4 million iPhone shipments to 12.4 million for RIM. Nokia retained the top spot in market share at 26.5%, but at 15.4%, Apple moved into second place ahead of RIM's 12.3%.
