Contractor, union men to stand trial in Deutsche fire case

A judge has cleared the way for criminal proceedings in the case of two firefighters who died battling a fire at New York's former Deutsche Bank building. Mitchel Alvo, Salvatore DePaola and Jeffrey Melofchik have pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and other charges related to the 2007 fire. The contractor and union officials will stand trial in January.
