FCC has exclusive jurisdiction over cell phone risks, court rules

Consumers can't seek to sue communications companies regarding any possible health hazards of cell phone use, because doing so would put the courts in conflict with the Federal Communications Commission's authority to regulate all aspects of the cell phone industry, a court has ruled. The ruling, handed down by the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, is seen as a significant win for cell phone manufacturers and service providers.
