Group: Drug sector has dominated the past year's fraud settlements

Eight drugmakers are involved in the top 10 fraud-related settlements with the Justice Department during the past year, according to the Taxpayers Against Fraud Education Fund. At the top of the list is Allergan, followed by AstraZeneca. The advocacy group estimated that the government collected $3.1 billion overall under the False Claims Act during the fiscal year that ended Sept. 1.
