Local franchisees of large national brands often lag behind their corporate franchisors when it comes to creating their own social media identities, Marketing Pilgrim reports, a trend that may result in missed opportunities. About 69% of consumers are more likely to do business with a local merchant if the company has a social presence, according to comScore.
