Transgender candidates could make history this year

Several openly transgender candidates face the voters next week in races across the country. Candidates include Victoria Kolakowski, who could become the nation's first openly transgender candidate to be elected in a judicial race. More transgender candidates are attending campaign training events designed for LGBT candidates, according to Chuck Wolfe, the president and chief executive of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund.
