China's wind power sector is likely to face a sharp decline this year, which could result in a "bloodbath" among industry players, executives said. "We are really in a situation right now where something has to happen," said Jens Olsen, CEO of wind turbine-maker Nordex China. "The Chinese government has realized that this fast speed has a downside," added Wolfgang Jussen, CEO of REpower China, which is planning to sell its wind turbine factory in the Inner Mongolia region of China. "A lot of the poor suppliers are going to die, washed out by quality demands from the government," Jussen added.
