Financial advisers would do well to describe in writing who their ideal clients are and devise a detailed plan for reaching them, marketing expert Marie Swift writes. Advisers also should create what Swift calls a "power bio" describing their firm and what they have to offer, along with some personal and professional details that inspire clients' trust.
