Fed officials hint at another round of MBS purchases

William Dudley, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, suggested that the central bank might soon resume buying mortgage-backed securities. Dudley's comment came after a statement by Fed Vice Chairwoman Janet Yellen that another bond-buying program "might become appropriate if evolving economic conditions called for significantly greater monetary accommodation."
