Lawmaker criticizes TSA's "chat-downs"

House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman John Mica, R-Fla., has criticized the Transportation Security Administration's new pilot program that involves interviewing travelers as they pass through airport security. Mica said TSA agents received "minimal" training. "It's almost idiotic," Mica said. "It's still not a risk-based system. It's not a thinking system." He supports turning over screening to private companies.
