Mayer starts to put her stamp on Yahoo

Yahoo will buy mobile recommendation engine Stamped, marking CEO Marissa Mayer's first major deal since she took over the post, the companies disclosed Thursday. But the startup's founders said Yahoo will shutter the New York-based company once the deal closes. Instead, Stamped engineers will build a Yahoo product from scratch.
