ACC's CAB shows chemical activity leads industrial production

The American Chemistry Council's Chemical Activity Barometer shows that chemical activity "generally leads industrial production," Bill McBride writes. It also "suggests that economic activity is increasing," he adds. McBride has created a graph showing the year-over-year change in the three-month moving average for the CAB compared with industrial production, beginning in January 1964.
