Deepwater's demo offshore wind project in R.I. nears construction phase

Deepwater Wind is finalizing the contracts needed to begin construction on the demonstration-scale Block Island Wind Farm project in the waters off of Rhode Island, said CEO Jeff Grybowski, at the American Wind Energy Association's Offshore WINDPOWER 2013 Conference. "Right now, we're in execution mode," Grybowski said. Construction could start in the latter part of 2014, starting with the project's subsea cable component.
