FAA soon to release electronic device rule change

Though delayed by the government shutdown, a new rule easing restrictions on electronic device use on airplanes is set to come soon, the Federal Aviation Administration says. An FAA advisory panel has recommended allowing passengers to e-mail, browse the Web and use e-readers during takeoffs and landings.
