Fusion looks to mix serious news discussions with satire

Fusion, the news network from ABC News and Univison launching Monday, will try to reach young English-speaking Hispanics and other millennials by offering an unusual mix of serious analysis-based content and satirical programming that will feature characters created by the Jim Henson Co. David Javerbaum, a former executive producer of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," is on board, while his boss, programming chief Billy Kimball, has a background in late-night talk shows and has penned multiple episodes of "The Simpsons."
