Hawaiian, United eye AA's Japan route

Hawaiian Airlines and United Airlines have their eyes on American Airlines' flight rights to Japan, which the carrier will eliminate in December when it stops flying between New York's JFK and Tokyo's Haneda airports. Hawaiian Airlines applied for the spots, and United has expressed that it will, as well.
