Imec teams with Johns Hopkins on lab-on-a-chip tech development

Imec has agreed to work with the Johns Hopkins University to design lab-on-a-chip devices using its nano-electronic technology. The chips would contain blood, urine or saliva samples for evaluation on computers or mobile devices, and are expected to streamline diagnostic screening by allowing the tests to be done outside the lab.
