Study finds no correlation between race, death risk in diabetes patients

In a study, researchers did not find an association between race/ethnicity and five-year risk of death or death/myocardial infarction/stroke in patients with type 2 diabetes. However, better risk factor regulation was tied to higher five-year survival in patients with suboptimal risk factor control. The results appear in The American Journal of Cardiology.
