Tenn. program prepares students for the workforce

In honor of national Disability Mentoring Day, about 500 high-school students from a Tennessee district toured local businesses to learn about available jobs. The program is part of an initiative to help teach students with disabilities the skills they will need to find jobs after school. "They all have abilities and it opens their eyes to that," said Melanie Leet with Collierville High School. "It gives the kids an idea of what they can do outside of school and gives them a sense of excitement of what they can offer to the community," she said.
