Rothstein: A Greater Generation?

The New York Times columnist Richard Rothstein notes that educators and journalists wonder whether today's youth has the same moral and intellectual wherewithal to fight as did WWII's so-called Greatest Generation. Rothstein points out that adults in the 1930s and 1940s also doubted the suitability of the day's youth for war, as some experts of the day even feared "widespread mental illness" in adolescents.
