Judge dismisses suit blocking stem cell bond issue

A California judge dismissed a lawsuit seeking to block the state's stem cell research program from funding research requiring the use of human embryos and to define embryos as people with constitutional rights. Two similar suits are pending in other courts, preventing the sale of bonds to raise funds for the research.
