Portland commission asks developer to build taller

Portland, Ore.'s, Design Commission has made the unusual request that developers make a 22-story project a little higher, despite the city's legacy of not being crazy about tall buildings. The building in question was originally supposed to be 31 stories before a hotel company withdrew from the project, but officials say they still would like the taller building to help better define the city's downtown skyline.
