US Airways may spin off frequent flier program, supports consolidation

US Airways CEO Doug Parker says the carrier is willing to explore spinning off its frequent flier program. "If it makes sense for shareholders, we'll probably do it," he said. He also added that airline consolidation would be "fantastic" and "really positive" even if US Airways were not involved because it would take excess capacity out of the market.
