Biotel's cardiac monitor automatically transmits data

Biotel has developed a monitor that can detect arrhythmias and directly send data to a patient-monitoring center through a cell phone call rather than having patients connect the device to a phone line. The company said it plans to introduce the wireless device onto the market next year.
