Jordanian fugitive detained at O'Hare; no extradition is being sought

Minnesota authorities have refused to seek extradition of a Jordanian man detained at Chicago O'Hare International Airport after his name turned up on a fugitive watch list. Ismail Alqawasmi was accused of making terroristic threats in a 2008 dispute at a Minnesota home, then failed to make his trial date this month. Customs and Border Protection agents took Alqawasmi into custody Thursday when he arrived at O'Hare on a Royal Jordanian Airways flight.
