Swine flu causes some districts to reconsider attendance awards:

In an effort to encourage students who may be sick with the H1N1 flu virus to stay home, several school districts in New Jersey are steering away from recognizing perfect school attendance this year. "Having an award could be seen by some students as an incentive to come to school when they are sick," one district superintendent said.
