U.S. government should plan for climate change, GAO report says

Federal agencies should work together to develop a strategic plan for coordinating national efforts to adapt to the effects of climate change, according to a report from the Government Accountability Office. Recognizing the huge impact of climate change, insurers intend to respond to the challenge using "the available science, data, technology and risk management strategy appropriate and applicable to maintain the necessary financial standing to meet their current and future obligations," according to PCI.
