Women may be more vulnerable than men to cigarette smoke

Data from two studies found women may be more susceptible than men to carcinogens and other toxic substances found in cigarette smoke. Researchers found women tend to be younger than men when diagnosed with lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, even though they smoked less.
