Fannie, Freddie say foreclosure woes must be fixed quickly

Executives from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac told participants at an industry convention that lenders need to quickly re-evaluate their foreclosure efforts and resolve any issues quickly. It is necessary to "protect the rights of borrowers, but at the same time, if possible, not have a moratorium on foreclosures," said Charles E. Haldeman Jr., CEO of Freddie Mac. "That's the balance we've been trying to achieve."
