FSB says some OTC derivatives might require trading limits

The Financial Stability Board said regulators should try to reduce excessive risk-taking by considering trading limits on some over-the-counter derivatives. Regulators may "limit or restrict trading in OTC derivatives products that are suitable for clearing but not centrally cleared," the FSB said in a report. The board said such restrictions might be necessary to enforce an agreement by the Group of 20 nations.
