Product development center is on tap for Richardson

Richardson Brands, based in Canajoharie, N.Y., announced it will expand its factory by adding a product development center. CEO Don Butte said the company, which employs about 160 and makes rock candy, mints and other confectionery, aims to double its Canajoharie operations in three to five years, through product development and acquisitions.
