Puratos banks on sourdough factory

Puratos, a company that makes ingredients for the bakery and confectionery industries, says its new sourdough production facility in Belgium will meet increased demand for natural sourdoughs, particularly its O-tentic product. "Existing infrastructure could not respond effectively to the escalation in demand," said CEO Daniel Malcorps, noting the new facility complements existing ones in Belgium and near Pennsylvania.
