Virginia senior center, theater prepare for green parking lots

Gypsy Hill Place, formerly Robert E. Lee High School in Staunton, Va., is providing a functional parking area to its senior center residents and theatergoers by installing permeable pavement that will help reduce stormwater runoff. The structured turf system will be built by planting grass in parking areas and will be used on the field in front of the former school and allow the historic character of the field to be retained.
