$1.4B transit center seen as a "destination" hub for commuters

The $1.4 billion Fulton Street transit center in New York City will be finished in 2014. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority envisions it becoming a destination" hub that will have restaurants, bars and famous retailers catering to the commuting public. The MTA will maintain the underground space but plans to hire a company to lease out the retail areas and clean and maintain them.
